​The Digital Built Australia (DBA) Awards recognise and reward leadership, celebrate best practice and catalyse action towards a digital built future in Australia.

The inaugural Awards were hosted on Wednesday 30th April, with an evening of celebration of best practice and excellence in leadership.
​
The DBA Awards offer a range of award categories that showcase the best from government and industry in a way that reflects the depth of impact that digital transformation and data maturity can have on our precincts, infrastructure and cities.​

Winners Announced for the 2025 Digital Built Australia Awards, Wednesday, 30 April 2025 | Hosted by TEMPO Institute
The 2025 Digital Built Australia Awards have celebrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact across Australia’s digital built environment sector. The Awards offer a range of award categories that showcase the best from government and industry in a way that reflects the depth of impact that digital transformation and data maturity can have on our precincts, infrastructure and cities.

The 2025 winners and commendations announced are:

Policy Category

Commendation: Cumberland City Council for its Smart Places Strategy and Action Plan, delivering practical, community-driven digital initiatives that strengthen inclusion and innovation.

Commendation: The City of Parramatta for its Smart City and Innovation Strategy, which sets a 10-year vision for a mature, data-led, and sustainable smart city.
Program Category

Winner: Sunshine Coast Council for its Smart City Framework and Implementation Plan, driving an integrated, evidence-based approach to smart infrastructure and futureproofing assets.
Project Category

Commendation: Sunshine Coast Council for its Mobile Data Trailer project, enabling cost-effective, privacy-conscious human movement data collection to inform planning and service delivery.

Winner: GreenBe for the Toowoomba Water Landmark Digital Water Meter IoT Project, rolling out 68,000 smart meters to deliver real-time water conservation outcomes and stronger customer engagement.

Winner (Government Sector): Property and Development NSW for Land iQ, a world-first whole-of-government spatial data platform transforming land use decision-making.

Winner (Private Sector): LARKI for its AI-powered 3D data and digital twin platform, revolutionising site condition capture, collaboration, and project delivery across the built environment.
People Category

Future Leader Award: Ashlee Gardner, Smart City and Innovation Manager at City of Parramatta, recognised for her outstanding leadership in driving people-first smart city transformation.

Government Leader Award: Christopher Manoski, Manager of Place and Economy at Cumberland City Council, honoured for his role in advancing smart cities initiatives across Western Sydney.
